Well, September 27, 2014 was your third annual memorial ride, and, as usual, I found myself riding on he back of the bike with your brother. He has been awesome, coming every year with his family. In fact, they are just one of the many reasons I survive. I used to sing at the top of my lungs when we rode together, and yesterday was no different, except for the song. It's a newer one, but this time as I rode and stumbled over the words and looked out over God's beautiful creation, I found I had more of a peace, and I began praying that I could make a difference in my world like you did in yours. Thank you for leaving our kids and grandkids and me such a legacy to live up to. I love you!
Thank you to Darren Bliss and the rest of my CCI family for coming out to honor the memory of my beloved husband, Captain Bret W. Trone, for his annual memorial ride. I kept losing count, but I think there were thirty bikes and fifty people! Bret never met his two grandsons, but they have been on all three rides since their grandpa went to Heaven. This is such a good way for them to learn what a great man he was to see how many people he cared about. They had fabulous time (as you can see by the handprint on Jose's rocket), and they vroom vroomed off and on all day long. Bret always told me he worked with good people. Every time I meet each one of you (Sometimes more than once, and please forgive me for not remembering your names!), I understand why. My gratitude runs deep for your love. What a fun day we all had!
